R.A. Smith, 75, of Denton , died Saturday May 31, 2008 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton .

Mr. Smith was born on November 12, 1932 in Aquillla , Texas to Preston George and Erma Lilly (Boyd) Smith. He served in the United States Navy aboard the U.S.S.       during the Korean War. He worked in the restaurant business for a while until he became owner and operator of Central Car Care. During his later years he spent much of his time at the Lewisville Fishing Barge.

He is survived by his daughter, Renee Foreman of Dublin, TX and three grandchildren, Allie Downs, Brendan Foreman, Tara Foreman, all of Dublin.

Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday June 4, 2008 at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday June 5, 2008 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery .
