Phillip Johnson Pickett, 75 of Denton, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2015 in Denton. He was born January 21, 1940 in Dallas, TX to Moran J. and Anne G. (Hickey) Pickett. He was married to Lupe Vasquez on September 4, 1968 in Laredo, TX. He retired in 2002 as a shipping supervisor from Victor Equipment Company after 33 years of employment. He was a Christian and always stood up for his family. He served in the U S Navy from 1961 to 1967.
Mr. Pickett is survived by his wife Lupe Pickett of Denton; daughter Amelinda Innman and husband Jason of Little Elm; daughter-in-law Penny Pickett of Prosper; and grandchildren, Niccolai, Kaegan, Bryce, Daylan, Jazlyn, Makenzie, and Makayla. He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carol Whitaker, and his son Anthony "Tony" Pickett.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 1, 2015 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with visitation to follow after the service.
