Philip Joseph Kohut (9/13/1935-11/19/2016)
On November 19th of this year, the world lost Philip J. Kohut after 81 years of love, laughter and inspiration. During his life he changed the world for the better, and never met a stranger. Phil was a loyal husband, devoted father and grandfather, and a legend. His quick witted jokes and warm embraces gave everyone who met him the confidence they needed to defeat any given situation. He left no problem unsolved. If there is one word to describe Phil, it is "genuine." We will miss him and love him forever. The family asks in lieu of flowers to make a donation to shared housing, or Jameson Irish Whiskey. Shared Housing donations can be made at sharedhousingcenter.weebly.com, and Jameson can be purchased at any local liquor store. Visitation will be Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016 from 3:00PM to 8:00PM at Denton Funeral Home. Funeral mass is to be held at Saint Mark Catholic Church Wednesday November 30, 2016 at 10:00AM. Graveside service will follow at 12:30PM at Restland Cemetery in Dallas, TX. Slainte.
