Cpl.  Peter John Courcy, age 22, of Frisco, Texas, was killed in the line of duty Tuesday, February 10, 2009, in Afghanistan.

He was born July 25, 1986 in Fort Hood, Texas. Peter was a 2004 graduate of Frisco High School. He married Mara Gash on September 20, 2008 in The Colony.

He is survived by his wife, Mara; son, Anthony Courcy; parents, Christopher and Mary Bush; his baby brother, Luke Bush; grandparents, Ernest and Martha Courcy; aunts and uncles, Christopher and Denise Courcy, Ann and Daniel Colasanto, Timothy and Phoebe Courcy, Elizabeth and Bret Jarrard and Joseph and Mary Courcy; father-in-law and mother-in-law, David and Marilyn Gash and brother-in-law, Balint John Gash.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Tuesday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. Funeral mass will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2009, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Coppell. Interment will full military honors will be 12:30 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas.
