Peggy Burch Spencer, 77 of Denton, passed away on Saturday, November 24, 2012 at her home in Denton. She was born December 23, 1934 on her family farm in Argyle, Denton County, Texas to Jess Anderson and Vesta Mae (Milligan) Burch. She was a graduate of Denton High School and attended the University of North Texas. She retired from UNT as an office manager in the Public Information Office but continued volunteer work at the Elmfork Education Center of the university. She was a member of the Hickory Creek Baptist Church.
Ms. Spencer is survived by her son Keith Spencer and his wife Sandra of Denton; sisters, Jessie Gromanski of Chandler, Geneal Tibbits of Denton, Mary Bruns of Houston, Billie Brown of Houston, and Maxine Bell of Denton; brothers, Ellis Burch of Lynn, Ark. Wayne Burch of Denton, R.B. Burch of Pilot Point, and Norman Burch of Duncanville; grandchildren, Logan Sadowski and wife Breana of Denton, Shaunna Conaway and husband Patrick of Royce City, and one great grandchild, Ethan Conaway, and numerous nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 for visitation from 7 P.M. until 8 P.M. A funeral service will be held at Hickory Creek Baptist Church, 5724 Teasley Lane Denton, on Wednesday, November 28th at 11:00 am, with Pasor Raymond Castro officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Alton Cemetery.
