Guinn, Peggy Gail

Peggy Gail Guinn, of Denton went to be with her Lord on April 4, 2009. She was born March 19, 1928 in Booneville, AR to Carvel W. and Gladys Blythe Moody. She was married to William Thomas Guinn on April 1, 1946 in Booneville, AR.  She and Bill had many exciting experiences as they traveled the world.  She attended Arkansas Polytechnic College in Russellville, AR and graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX. Peggy taught elementary school for many years in the Denton area. Peggy was an active community volunteer with Ariel Club, a member of Texas Association of Hospital Auxiliaries Volunteer services and Denton Garden Club, a charter member of Denton Benefit League, and a member of Denton Country Club since 1962. She was a charter member of Southmont Baptist Church and Bible Study Fellowship.

She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Bill; her son, Phil Guinn and wife Kimberly of Carrollton, TX; her daughter Susan Stafford and husband, Bud, of Denton, TX. She has 3 grandchildren, Elizabeth Stafford, Megan and Michael Guinn.

Visitation will be held at Southmont Baptist Church, 2801 Pennsylvania,  Monday  April 6  from 6 P.M. until 8 p.m.  After a private burial a memorial service celebrating her life will be held at Southmont Baptist Church, Denton, at 11:00 A.M.  on Tuesday, April 7, with Dr. Larry Reynolds and Rev. Bruce Troy, Officiating.  Reception will follow at the church.  Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or charity of your choice.  Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and  Son Funeral Home in Charge of Arrangements.
