Peggy Jean Bridgers, beloved wife, mother and granny, passed to her heavenly home on Thursday, November 20, 2008.
She was born September 7, 1941 in Comanche, Oklahoma to W.M. Humphries and Lola Bell McIntyre Humphries. Peggy married Roy Allen Bridgers on May 30, 1958 in Walters, Oklahoma. She was a longtime member of First Assembly of God Church in Lewisville.
She enjoyed travelling with family and friends. Over the years, she visited 48 states and 5 foreign countries. She was actively involved in children's activities at First Assembly for many years. Her happiest times were those spent with her family. This past May, she was surrounded by family and friends as she and Roy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary – a goal she was so proud of attaining.
She is survived by her husband, Roy; daughters, Kathy Ridinger and husband, Bill of Lewisville, Terry West and husband, Carson of Bartlesville, Oklahoma and Tammy Woodworth and husband, Mark of Grove City, Ohio; 8 grandchildren, Clint, Case (wife Miranda), Melinda, Luke, Heather, Josh, Meredith, and Rusty. She is also survived by 4 brothers, 3 sisters, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service to celebrate Peggy's life will be held 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2008, at First Assembly of God Church in Lewisville. A graveside service will be held 3:00 p.m. Monday at Comanche City Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma. Reverend Bennie Grissom and Reverend Bruce Humphries will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville, Texas. The family requests memorial contributions to be made to the Susan G.
