Peggy Jo Arnold, 87, of Paradise, died Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at The Hills Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Decatur.
Mrs. Arnold was born on June 4, 1928 in Denton to Carl and Minnie Fay (Littrell) Lawrence. She was married to Manuel "Mike" H. Arnold on June 12, 1958 in Denton; he died on August 26, 2004. Peggy and Mike moved to Argyle in 1962 and she worked several years at Brown and Sharp in Denton. After retiring, she helped to raise all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Peggy loved to garden and share with friends and family. She was a member of the Decatur Church of Christ with her daughter, Virginia Alred.
She is survived by her daughter, Virginia Alred of Paradise; sister, Margaret Baker Lewis of Irving; grandsons, David Clark of Argyle, Aaron McLain of Granbury; granddaughter, Mindy Pell of Sherman, TX, Amanda Baker of Argyle; great-grandchildren, Mason Clark, Bryanna Clark, Bryce Baker, Trent Baker, Avery McLain, Olivia McLain. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Arnold and daughter, Connie Clark; brothers, Royce Lawrence and Sylvester Lawrence.
A visitation was held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, January 14, 2004 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, January 15, 2016 at the Alliance Church of Christ, 1290 FM 407, Justin, TX. Interment will follow at Prairie Mound Cemetery, Argyle. Pallbearers will be: Aaron McLain, Heath Pell, Mason Clark, James Baker, David Clark, Mackey Alred.
