Obituary

Paul Blagg, 93, of Denton, passed away on Friday, July 10, 2009 at Presbyterian Hospital.  He was born April 7, 1916 in Denton to W. P. and Ethel (Lynch) Blagg.  He was a member of the Baptist Church, and a member and songleader of the Men's Downtown Bible Class. He was a graduate of Denton High School and attended the Stamps-Baxter Quartet School of Music. He worked for Faust Hardware, J.E. Faust Funeral Home, Humble Oil, Denton County Bank, Roselawn Memorial Park. He began a career as a Machinist for Brown and Sharp Manufacturing and later Victor Equipment Company, where he retired. Paul always stayed busy so he began working as a school crossing guard for the DISD, where he worked for 22 years, and retired for the second time at the age of 91.

A funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, with Rev. Grady Moore, officiating.  Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral for visitation on Monday, July 13, 2009 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. for visitation. Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Mr. Blagg is survived by a son, Floyd Blagg of Denton; a granddaughter, Kellie Stinchcomb of Granbury, and two great grandchildren, Darin and Darla Stinchcomb; sister-in-law, Mrs. W.J. Blagg, Sr. of Denton; and a host of family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, W.J. Blagg Sr.; sister, Irene Blagg McNett.
