Patrick Lee Appel passed away unexpectedly on December 27, 2023 at the young age of 54 after a two-year battle of AML. He was born on July 25, 1969 in Houston, Texas, raised in Loveland, Colorado and went to college in Durango, Colorado. He moved to Texas December 27,1993, to be with his wife, whom he met at Presidents Health Club gym.

Pat was married to the love of his life, his soulmate, Janet, whom he was married to for 28 years. They have two beautiful children, Loren and Brendan, who were Pat's world.
After getting his master's degree in Environmental Science in 2000 he had a very successful career and was an unbelievable provider for his family. He started at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. in 2017 and was promoted to Vice President, November 2023.

Pat is survived by his spouse, Janet, his children, Loren and Brendan. His parents, Gordon and Pam, brother Scott, sister Pam, stepbrother Brent, stepsister Renee, Sister-in-laws Mikol and Shannon, Brother-in laws Jim and Paul, nieces Brooke, Cassandra, Laura, Ashley, Madison, Mariah and Lyssa, nephews Conner, Cameron and Mike. His mom Sandy Huston, Grandma Ila and Grandpa Harold Huston, Nanny, Grandpa John proceeded him in death.

The Appel family will be holding a service at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX, on January 6, 2024 at 2:00 P.M.
