Patricia Ann McDonald passed away peacefully at her home in Newark, TX on May 13, 2025. Pat was born November 28, 1946, in Denton, TX. She attended Denton Public School and Texas Woman's University. She married Lewis Earl McDonalds on June 4, 1965, in Denton, TX. They would have celebrated 60 years of marriage in June. Pat worked at Russell Newman and Victor Equipment in the late 1970's. She went on to become a savvy and a successful businesswoman owning and operating multiple businesses with her beloved husband Lewis. She is the founder of McDonald's Childcare and Preschool in 1980 which is still open today. She passed the reigns to her daughter in 1992. Pat and Lewis went on to successfully own and operate a True Value Hardware Store, Plumbing Business, Restaurant and Castrol Quick Lube. Her biggest accomplishment that she was most proud of was her family.

Pat is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah McFerrin, sister Betty Ritchie and brother Honeyboy Madewell. She is survived by her beloved husband, Lewis McDonald; Children Beckie Geer and husband Tyler: Lisa May and husband Joe: Melanie Payne and husband Jake; Grandchildren Blake, Jody, Hunter, Meagan, Riley, Morgan and Max; Great Grandchildren Shia and Riddy and beloved poodle, Bridgette.

Funeral service will be held Saturday May 17, 2025, at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home in Denton, TX. Our family is deeply saddened by the loss of our wife, mother and mimi. We know she is wrapped in the arms of Jesus and no longer in pain.
