Patricia Ann (Keane) Douglas was born of humble beginnings in St Louis, MO, the third child of Lucius and Genevieve Keane. The family soon moved to Dallas, TX where Pat lived the remainder of her life. Her father and older brother left soon thereafter and Pat and her mother lived with Pat's older sister while Pat was growing up. Pat was a graduate of Sunset High School. Fresh out of high school, Pat went to work as a receptionist with the Parker Pen Company, meeting her soon to be husband Elmer after he "approved" her hiring. Pat and Elmer were married on May 29th, 1954. Their oldest daughter Cathey was born in 1955, son Randy in 1959 and daughter Cindy in 1965. Pat, Elmer and the rest of the family made their home in Farmers Branch, Carrollton and finally Krum TX. Pat, a great cook with desserts being her specialty, took great pride in having a family meal every evening. In her later years, Pat became a doting "Nonnie" to her grandkids, Douglas, Emily and Ethan. Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Genevieve Keane. Pat is survived by her husband of 59 ½ years Elmer Eugene Douglas; her children Catherine Ann Douglas, Randall Brian Douglas and daughter-in-law Davi Anne, and Cynthia Lynn Rynders and son-in-law Eddie Rynders; and her grandkids Douglas Edward Rynders, Emily Michelle Douglas and Ethan Henry Douglas. Graveside services at Roselawn Cemetery in Denton TX on Wednesday, November 20 at 10:00 AM. She will be terribly missed but lovingly remembered.
