Pat "Toodles" Thompson, 66 of Krum, went to be with her Heavenly Father July 26, 2012 at Seasons Hospice in Denton surrounded by her family. She was born June 10, 1946 in Denton to George and Marie Lamonica. She graduated from Krum High School and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Krum. She was married to George M. Thompson on May 13, 1977 in Krum. She was a homemaker and had worked with youth in the Krum 4-H club as a manager and leader for 30 years. She was also a member of the Denton County Livestock Association and Denton County Youth Fair for 35 years along with working the North Texas State Fair for 34 plus years.
Pat is survived by her husband George of Krum, daughters and husbands Pattie Pennington and Roy of Ponder, Maryanne Marick and Matt of Sanger, Georgina Webb and Doug of Pilot Point, brothers, Larry Lamonica of Krum, David Lamonica and wife Debbie of Sanger and Gary Lamonica of Denton. Grandchildren D.J. Marick, Mitchell Pennington, Taylor Pennington, Megan Marick, Preston Webb and Parker Webb. Many neices and nephews along with other extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00am on Monday, July 30, 2012 in the First Baptist Church of Krum, with Rev. John Thieson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jackson Cemetery at Krum. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust in Denton on Sunday, July 29, 2012 from 4:00pm until 6:00pm for visitation.
In lieu of flowers, due to her dedication and support to the Relay of Life, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or Susan G. Komen Foundation.
