Pamela Ann (Turner) Fass, 79, of Denton, died Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital of Denton.
Born November 9, 1937 in Stowmarket, Suffolk, England to James Charles and Adela Gertrude May (Baker) Turner, Pam worked as a hairdresser and was a member of the Church of England. She married Frederick Fass, a Sgt. in the USAF, on March 28, 1959 in Stowmarket, Suffolk, England. In September 1962 they left England for a USAF assignment in Marquette, Michigan. As a loyal wife and mother Pam and her children traveled with her husband to USAF bases in many different parts of the country from Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Arizona and Nevada until his retirement where in 1979 they settled in Denton, Texas. Pam became a tax preparer and supervisor for H&R Block starting in 1981 and remaining until 1998.
Pam was a beautiful, selfless, loving and very talented Wife, Mom , Grandma and Great -Grandmother When she was not caring for her family, she occupied her time baking, gardening, knitting, sewing, treasure hunting, traveling and spending time with friends.
She was a charitable person, often making dolls for the Fire Rescue, knitting hats and sweaters for Save the Children Foundation, and opening her home to rescue all types of animals.
She is survived by her husband, Frederick Fass of Denton; sons Steven Fass of Frisco, TX, and Richard Fass of The Colony, TX; daughters Leanne Herrera, Suzanne Smith and Terri Fass Watt of Denton, TX; son in law Billy Ray Smith , daughter in law Dawn Fass, eight dearly loved grandchildren (Mindy, Robby, Nick, Gabrielle, Christina, James, Jacob, London) and four great-grandchildren (Aiden, Dylan, Henry, and Avery); brother-in-law Daniel Pyrdeck of Claremont, California; and sister-in-law June Turner of Scottburgh, South Africa.
She was predeceased by her father and mother, James and Adela Turner of Stowmarket, England; sister Sharon Turner Pyrdeck of Claremont, California; and brother Peter Turner of Scottburgh, South Africa.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 in the chapel of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton.
