Orson, E. "Bud" Harman passed to the loving hands of the Lord after 83 years and 12 days on this earth.
Bud was born in South Bend, Indiana in 1924.
After graduation from high school bud married his sweetheart Ethel "Babe" Burgess on
July 5, 1944.
Babe followed Bud to Texas where Bud became a Bombardier flying B-24s and B-29s out of Childress, Texas.
After the war Bud became a police officer for the South Bend Department, eventually rising to the rank of Chief of Police.
Bud and Babe relocated to Lewisville, Texas in 1976 where they have lived since.
Although Bud was a man of significant accomplishment and lived with a generous dignity, he was known for his gentle kindness and ready humor. All who knew him loved Bud.
Bud is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Babe; four children, Don and his wife Tobey of Stratham, New Hampshire, Lynn and her husband Frank Gurnee of Freemont, California, daughter Debbie and her husband, David Russo of Lewisville and Dr. Bruce Harman of Lewisville, Texas.
Bud is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held 4:00 p.m. Friday, November 9, 2007 at
Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel in Lewisville. Burial will follow
at Porter Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana.
The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. Friday prior to the service.
