IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Omalie Ann
Hood-Hardy
November 10, 1929 – February 9, 2026
Omalie Ann Medlin Hood-Hardy was born in Roanoke, TX to W.J. “Bill” and Rosa Lee Medlin on November 10, 1929. She moved to Krum, TX at the age of three years old. She was a graduate of Krum High School.
Oma retired as a manager from Home Interiors and Gifts in Dallas, TX. She was former Co-owner of the Mortuary Transfer Service in Denton, TX
As most of you know she preferred to be called Oma or Ome. If someone called her Omalie, she knew it was someone from Krum.
Oma, was a member of the Krum Church of Christ. In 2017, she decided to go through old journals of the early Church of Christ in Krum and bring them up to date as much as possible. Many long hours and research were done on the book. A copy of the book is placed in the church library with a copy in the Krum Historical Museum.
Oma is survived by two children, Mike Hood (Theresa) of Krum and Pat Trietsch (Ronnie) of Sanger; three granddaughters, Rachel Bartel (Curtis) of Madill, OK, Rhonda Trietsch of Sanger, and Brieann Hood Stoa of Flower Mound; three great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Tom Medlin (Kathy) of Smithfield; one first cousin, Jean Carter (“Sis”) of Denver, CO; one stepdaughter, Joy Bachelor (Rick) of Ovilla; two stepsons, Dr. Don Hardy (Heather) of Reno, NV and John Hardy of Cedar Creek, TX; several step grandchildren.
