Olivia Elaine Solomon, 71 of Denton, TX passed away on Monday September 4, 2023, peacefully, in her home surrounded by family after a hard fought battle with cancer. Through it all, she was a trooper, as her Grandson called her.

Olivia was born on February 22, 1952 to Lloyd and Virginia Clement in Gainesville, TX. She lived in Gainesville until she was 12 years old and moved with her family to Denton, TX. In 1969 she married Raymond Solomon. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandma, and homemaker. Later in life she worked for Denton ISD at Ann Windle School for young children and most recently worked for Denton ISD in the Child nutrition department, where she made several close friends. In her free time she enjoyed spending time with her family, her most cherished and prized moments were times spent with her children and grandchildren. Over the years you could always find her at the various events her grandchildren participated in, cheering them on. Those left to cherish her memory will miss her empathetic, giving, patient and loving nature, her punny jokes and quick witted remarks. If Olivia was in the room, it was a guarantee she was going to get you to laugh with one of her trademark cheesy jokes.

Olivia is preceded in death by her parents Lloyd and Virginia Clement and Brother Tim Clement.

Olivia is survived by her husband Raymond Solomon of Denton, Tx.; Daughter Alicia Jones and husband Derek Jones of Springtown, Tx.; Son Brian Solomon and wife Rachel Solomon of Denton, Tx.; Grandchildren Stephanie Solomon, Mandalyn Voorheis and husband PD, Dakota Jones and wife Marcie, Haven Jones, Grace Solomon, Benjamin Solomon, Elliot Solomon; Great Grandchildren Olivia Voorheis, Everly Henry and Brother Matt Clement and wife Paulette Clement of Ponder, TX.

The family will receive visitors on Sunday September 10, 2023 from 2-4 PM at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home 705 N Locust St. Denton, TX 76201.

Graveside Service will be Monday September 11 at 10:00 am. At Valley View Cemetery 135 W Frontage Road Valley View, TX 76272.
