Ofelia Salinas, 57, of Denton, died Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Salinas was born on July 2, 1957 in Melvin, TX to Eduardo and Angelita (Flores) Castanuela. She was married to Joel Salinas on September 21, 1986 in Lewisville.
Ofelia is survived by her husband, Joel Salinas of Denton; sisters, Marie Purcell of Denton, Mary Jane Bocanegra of Denton, Belia Gomez of Brady, Diamantina Najera of Brady, Manuela Grimaldo of Brady; brothers, Mario Castanuela of Brady, Vincent Castanuela of Brady,Hector Castanuela of Brady. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Juan Castanuela and Eduardo Castanuela, Jr.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary at 7:00 PM on Thursday, May 28, 2015 at the funeral home. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, May 29, 2015 in the chapel of Mulkey Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX 76201. Glen C. Fogg will officiate the service.
Pallbearers will be: Alejandro Tafolla, Jr., Abrahm Tafolla, Adam Tafolla, Julio Rodriguez, Jesus Salas, Jorge Aguirre, Juan Bocanegra and Javier Tafolla, Jr.
She will be missed by her jokes, dancing and many nieces and nephews.
