O.B. Chapman, Jr., age 77, of Lewisville, passed away Friday, May 4, 2007, at Medical Center of Lewisville.
He was born May 22, 1929 in Lewisville to O.B. Chapman, Sr. and Jessie Beatrice Perry Chapman. O. B. served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Mary Ann McRae on December 28, 1951 in Oklahoma. O.B. was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Lewisville; was a member of Lewisville VFW Post #9168; was a member of the American Legion Post in Lake Dallas and was active in the Senior Center in Lewisville. He was a retired mail carrier. Over their 55 years of marriage O. B. and Mary Ann opened their home and hearts to 60+ friends and relatives who stayed with them for extended periods of time.
O. B. is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; one aunt and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by his son, Bobby "Skip" Chapman on June 27, 1968.
Funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church in Lewisville. Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.
Dr. Thomas J. Baughman will officiate the service. The family will receive friends from
3:30 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville. In lieu of flowers the family request memorial contributions made to First Presbyterian Church of Lewisville or Ann's Haven Hospice.
