Obituary

O.W. "Hamp" Hampton of Lewisville, TX. (formerly of Wylie) passed away on March 7, 2007.

Born September 19th, 1914 in Quinlan, TX, he married Gladys Wright from Sherman, Texas in 1940. Residents of Wylie for 56 years, he was owner/operator of Hampton's Cleaners for 35 years, volunteer fireman for 16 years, and Fire Chief for 2 years. He served on the school board for 6 years and City Council. He was Mayor of Wylie for 2 terms, and President of the Chamber of Commerce.

He is survived by his wife, Gladys, 3 children, Dan, Pamela and Richard; 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Mark, Scott, Corey, Justin and Stefanie and 3 great grandchildren, Garrett, Taylor and Abigail.

Visitation will be at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville on Saturday,
March 10th, 2007 from 6:30-8p.m. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, March 11th at the Lewisville Church of Christ with Jeff A. Jenkins officiating. Interment will be in the Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery on Monday, March 12th, 2007 at 2:30 p.m.
