Norman Gerald Puckett, 89, a long-time resident of Denton, Texas passed away January 25, 2026 at his home.
He was born October 14, 1936 in Little Elm, Texas to parents I.T. Puckett and Mary Elizabeth Mullen and eventually moved to Denton with his family when he was a young boy. He graduated from Denton High School in 1954 and received his BBA from North Texas University (UNT) in 1960. In high school, Norman participated in football and baseball and was a member of Delta Sigma Pi fraternity at UNT.
Norman was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denton. He also belonged to two Toast masters International organizations and was a speaker of the American Cancer Society. He served in the Air National Guard from 1954 to 1962. He was an active member of the Denton Breakfast Kiwanis Club.
He was a strong Christian man, loved being with family at the many get-togethers and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
Norman is survived by his sister Charlotte McFarlin of Arlington, niece Lisa Prince and husband Brett of Plano, nephew Brian Clark and wife Lara of Lewisville, niece Melinda LaGrande of Southlake, and the love of his life Ramona.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10am on Saturday, February 7th at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home located at 705 N. Locust Street in Denton, Texas, with the funeral immediately following.
Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park located at 3801 Roselawn Drive, Denton, Texas.
