June was the daughter of Cecil and Erma McNatt. She grew up in Ft. Worth with her sister, Gail, in the house that her father built. They nurtured her creativity and provided a foundation of love and faith. She attended Amon Carter Riverside High School where she graduated with highest honors in her class. She met the love of her life, Robert (Bob) Dalton while working at the Greater Southwest Airport in the late 1950s.
Being a mother and grandmother was her greatest joy and passion. "Nanny June" loved her family unconditionally and continued to provide loving support and gentle guidance to them throughout her life. In 1974 Bob and June moved to Denton where June was able to spend more time pursuing her other passion, her art. Her art and the friends she met through it together with her faith in God enriched and sustained her through the years. She was a loving compassionate caretaker of her parents and her husband. She spent the last two years living part time with her daughter in Tucson, Arizona and her son, in Saginaw, Texas.
June is preceded in death by her beloved husband, her mother and father and her sister. She is survived by her sons, Mike Dalton (Lea Ann) and Steve Dalton (Ellen) and her daughter, Donna Dalton (Dan Dyring), her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
