Obituary

Norilla Mae Martin, 91, of Denton, died Wednesday, October 10, 2007 at her home. She was born July 18, 1916 in Ferrum, Patrick County, Virginia to Conner B. and Nannie (Boyd) Hall. She was married to Harry S. Martin in Dec. 1933 in Ferrum, VA. He died Nov. 11, 1996. She was a member of the Baptist Church, and was a retired Antique Dealer having owned the Martin Antique Shop in Christiansburg, VA for 50 years.

A funeral service was held at 5:00 P.M. Saturday, October 13, 2007 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX with Bishop Jason Labrum, officiating. The family will be at the Funeral Home from 4 P.M. until service time on Saturday. There will be a visitation at the Horne Funeral Home in Christinasburg, VA on Wed. Oct. 17, 2007 from 10 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. with a Graveside service at 12:00 Noon at the Sunset Cemetery in Christiansburg, VA.

Mrs. Martin is survived by her daughter and son in law Mildred J. (Jo) and Keith Briggs of Denton, a sister Alpha Nicholson, of Bellaire, MD two granddaughters, Jenny J. Wood, and Michelle Smith and husband Kevin of Denton Six Great Grandchildren and One Great Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by two sons, Powell W. Martin and General Allen (Buddy) Martin.
