Nola Jewel Dillard Foster, a servant of the most high God, left her frail body Thanksgiving evening to start her new walk with her Savior, Jesus Christ. She was born February 27, 1922 in Henrietta Texas to John and Lillian Potts Dillard. She grew up in Denton County and married Glen Foster June 21, 1940. They lived in Coppell till the mid 1980's, at which time they moved back to Copper Canyon, living within a mile or so of the places she had lived as a child. Nola was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Coppell for nearly 60 years. She taught the Primary class for 25 years and then went on to serve and minister in other areas till her health failed.
Nola worked as a housekeeper for many years. She served those she worked for faithfully, building lifelong friendships with most. Her retirement years were spent learning new games and building new relationships at the Coppell Senior Center.
Nola was preceeded in death by her husband, Glen, her daughter, Doris Sue Sauer, and her brothers, Charles and Marvin Dillard. She is survived by two sisters, Faye Taylor of Denton and Mary Howard of Rule, her sons and their wives, Lewis and Marsha of Breham, Robert and Josephine of Coppell, John and Robin of Flower Mound, and Tom and Valerie of Sanger. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family wishes to express our sincere thanks to Dr. Emmanuel Desai and his staff and to the nurses and staff of Medical Center of Lewisville who have cared for and loved 'Ms Foster' for the past ten years.
