Netina Baughman, 82, of Hickory Creek, died Monday May 7, 2007 at her home.
Mrs. Baughman was born June 11, 1924 in Austinville, Alabama to Ernest Lee and Pearl May (Sams) Carpenter. She graduated from high school in Austinville, AL. She was married to Don Baughman on September 1, 1942 in Dallas, TX. She was a member of the Baptist church and was active in the Denton VFW Auxiliary and the Denton Senior Center. She was retired as a supervisor from Texas Instruments.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Thursday May 10, 2007 at Swisher Cemetery in Lake Dallas. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday May 9 at the funeral home.
Survivors include her daughters, Lilla Buchanan and husband, Alvin of Hickory Creek, Doneta Baughman-Farguson and husband Jack of. Hickory Creek; brothers, Fred Carpenter of Pontiac, MI, Wayne Carpenter and wife Marye of Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Netina Lynn Buchanan of Sumner, TX; John Paul Buchanan of Sumner, TX; and longtime companion, Richard White of Hickory Creek.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Denton Unit, 3301 West Freeway, Ft. Worth, TX 76201-5709.
