Nellie A. Nelson

(November 15, 1946 – February 12, 2024)

Nellie Anne Nelson, 77, of Crossroads, TX passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024 at Medical City Denton Hospital.  She was born November 15, 1946 in Mesquite, Texas to Maurice and Lottie (Aiken) Barnett.

She was married to Robert Nelson on July 2, 1966 in Waco, TX.  She was a member of Denton Bible Church and active in the choir.  Nellie is survived by her son Robert Thomas Nelson and wife Kelly of Oak Point, daughter Joanna Lee Webb and husband Matt of Northern California, sister Brenda Edwards and husband Chris of Lake Whitney, brother Lee Barnett and wife JoAnn of Plano, and grandchildren Megan Nelson, Macy Nelson, and Libby Webb.

She was a devoted and faithful wife, mother, friend, and nana.  She loved her time in the choir and gardening.  She had a true servant heart and continually put others before herself.

A visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm in the Denton Bible Church Chapel.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Denton Bible Church Chapel with Rev. Tom Nelson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.
