Nellyne McFarlane passed into eternal life on June 18, 2025 at her home in Aubrey, TX at the age of 89 years.
Nellyne was born to Jesse and Reva (Bloyd) Davidson in Lamar, CO on February 28,1936. She married Ray McFarlane in Lamar, CO on Sept 12, 1954. Their marriage was blessed with three children: Michael, Brenda and Laura. With Ray's military career, Nellyne perfected her homemaking skills in twenty-one moves prior to settling in Denton in 1981.
Nellyne accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1979 and was a faithful servant until her passing. She loved to study the Bible and to share it with others through counseling, mentoring and discipling other women. She leaves behind a long legacy of lives she touched through her ministry in Bible Study Fellowship and the Women's Ministry at Denton Bible Church. She especially enjoyed seeing lives changed through her work in the Reconciliation Ministry.
Nellyne was preceded in death by her daughter Laura, her parents and her three siblings - June Miles, Barbara Morris and Bill Davidson. She is survived by her husband Ray of Aubrey, son Michael McFarlane and wife Jennifer of Aubrey, daughter Brenda and husband Phil Sundblad of Albert City, IA, son-in-law Will Koger of Parker, CO, granddaughter Catherine and husband Jared Janacek of Denton, grandsons David McFarlane of London, England, Luke Sundblad and wife Madi of Storm Lake, IA, Craig Sundblad of Albert City, IA, Paul Koger and fiancée Allie Schreuder of Aurora, CO and Jace Koger and wife Cassandra of Frederick, CO. She is also survived by three great grandchildren, Claire Janacek of Denton and Hank and Lane Sundblad of Storm Lake.
Arrangements are under the direction of Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, June 30, at the funeral home at 705 N Locust St in Denton. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, July 1, at Denton Bible Church (2300 E University Dr) with the Reverend Tom Nelson officiating. Burial will follow at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery at a later date.
