Nellie Mae George, 83, of Denton, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at Presbyterian Hospital of Denton. She was born March 21, 1922 in Aubrey, to William Earl and Allie (Bailey) Griffin. She was married to Odis George on April 21, 1939 in Aubrey, he died March 30, 1982. She was a Homemaker and a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
A funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, March 23, 2006 in the Chapel of Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, TX. With Rev. Keith Walker, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation from 6 P.M. until 8 P. M. Wednesday, March 22, 2006. Pallbearers will be Wayne Griffin, Richard Griffin, Charles Griffin, Monty Sartain, Heath Worley, Larry Wisdom, Randy Parker, and Buddy Adcock.
Mrs. George is survived by a daughter Chris Cox and husband Rob, of Fort Worth, a son Don George, and wife Donna, of Krum, a sister, Christeen Ellis, of Carrollton, and five granddaughters, Tina Sartain, Christy Kaszuba, Paige Worley, Jennifer Lane, and Stephanie Cox, and five great Grandchildren.
