Myra Dell "Toot" Westlund, age 89, of Lewisville, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2009 in Hurst.

She was born April 25, 1920 in Bethel, near Lewisville, to William Henry Higgins and Mary Venice Hasten Higgins. Myra married Clarence A. Westlund, who preceded her in death in 2000. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Lewisville and a member of Order of Eastern Star.  Myra retired from Sears in 1985 after 43 years of service.

She is survived by her son, Gary Westlund and wife, Julie; grandsons, Casey Westlund and Cody Westlund and sisters-in-law, Lillian Higgins and Marie Higgins. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Roland Higgins and Ralph Higgins and sister Willie Faye Porter and husband, Olin.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 17, 2009, at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home in Lewisville.  Interment will follow at Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
