IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Monty Lou
Harp
December 6, 1961 – May 10, 2021
Monty Lou Harp, 59, passed away on May 10th, 2021 in Denton, Texas. She was born to Walton and Elsie Jay on December 6th, 1961 at Flow Memorial Hospital. The youngest of three Jays, Monty embodied tenderness. A faithful wife and an honest friend, a committed believer, and once a proud USPS Rural Carrier, Monty's deepest devotion was pouring her gentle spirit into two children of her own. Monty was a natural Texas beauty. Among each unique memory in each of us she touched, Monty's life story left on Earth is underscored by joy, togetherness, generosity, and perseverance. Her heart will never be forgotten and her love will never die. She is forever our guardian angel.
Preceded in death by her father Walton Jay, her sister Ann Cole, and her former husband and father of her children Micheal Harp, Monty is survived by her mother Elsie Jay of Denton, her brother Emmett Jay and wife Janet Jay of Denton, her daughter Dr. Whitney Thomas and husband Carl Thomas of Little Elm, and her son, Micheal Harp of Denton.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Monty's life at a memorial service at St. Paul Lutheran Church on Wednesday, May 26th at 11 a.m.
