Monica Payne, 66 of Denton, TX, passed away Tuesday morning, October 29, 2013. She was born on March 16, 1947 in Watertown, New York to Jesse and Ruth Payne. She graduated from Watertown High School and went on to retire after 25 years of service with the Denton State School Food Service Department. She proudly helped to establish and then served as a volunteer on the Aubrey Fire Department Women's Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her precious daughter Heather, her mother, father and her brother Danny.
She is survived by her Grandson, Jeremiah, sisters Cheryl Pena and Patience Sparks, brother Dennis, several nieces and nephews and many friends whose lives have been greatly impacted by her love and care for each one of them. She will be missed.
Visitation will be Friday , November 1, 2013 from 6 to 8 pm at Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home. Service will be Saturday, November 2, 2013 at 2 pm in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason followed by burial at Prairie Mound Cemetery.
