Mollie Louise Young Smith, 89 of Denton passed away at her home on May 16, 2015 with her family around her. She was born October 22, 1925 in Kelso, Tennessee to George W. and Marie (Oldfield) Young. She attended public schools in Flatville, TN. She was married to John David (Slick) Smith, Sr. on March 28, 1952 in Denton. She was retired from Sears where she worked in sales. She is a member of the Central Baptist Church of Denton.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her husband Slick Smith of Denton, daughters, Lecil Morgan and husband Jerry of Frisco, Karen Denson and husband Jackie of Colorado Springs, CO Elizabeth Crews and husband Tim of Denton, daughter in law, Sun Im Smith of Tacoma, WA Grandchildren, Brian Vinson, Amanda Franson, Stephanie Grant, Jennifer Stark, Jason Denson, Staci Smith, John Crews, and Mollie Crews, she was preceded in death by her son John David Smith, Jr. and granddaughter, Angela Crews, three sisters and four brothers
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. at Mulkey-Mason Funeral home, 705 N. Locust Denton with a funeral service at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday May 20, 2015 at Central Baptist Church, with Rev. Paul Shelton and Rev. Grady Moore, officiating.
