IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael Ray
Richardson
April 19, 1960 – December 6, 2024
Michael Ray Richardson, a beloved husband, father, and friend, of Lucedale, Mississippi, ascended to eternal rest with our Lord and Savior on December 6, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on April 19, 1960 in Shirley, Massachusetts, Michael was a cherished son of Dorma Lee and Gilbert Lavon Richardson. His early years spent in Dallas, Texas, shaped a vibrant personality filled with humor, loyalty, and deep-rooted love for family and the outdoors.
Michael attended Sunset High School and Mountain View College in Dallas, TX. Michael embarked on a beautiful journey when he married his soulmate, Jeri McMillin Richardson, in 1982. Their love story became the foundation of a blessed life, filled with laughter and unwavering support for one another. Together, they nurtured a loving family, teaching their children values of compassion, perseverance, and joy in God's grace.
A proud Texas Longhorn and Dallas Cowboys fan, Michael carried his teams in his heart and loved watching games with family and friends. He relished every moment he could spend outdoors—immersed in nature as a lifelong hunter and spending countless weekends on the boat at the lake. He found peace in the quiet of the deer camp, in the camaraderie shared with fellow hunters, and in the memories formed on those excursions especially with his son.
Michael's infectious humor and eagerness to provide advice touched all who had the privilege of knowing him. He consistently had a joke or cheerful remark at the ready, and he offered his guidance without hesitation. He created a legacy of love and laughter that will remain with his family and friends forever.
Michael is survived by his loving wife Jeri; his daughter, Audreanna Brown and husband, Kevin; grandchildren, Kaden and Caitlyn Brown; brother, Claude Richardson; and half-sister Cherry Ann Richardson; nieces Vanessa McCarty, Jocelyn Clayton, and Hollie Johnson, as well as a multitude of great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends whose lives he positively impacted.
Michael is preceded in death by his mother, Dorma Richardson; father, Gilbert Richardson; brothers, Gilbert Richardson, Jr. and Glenn Allard; and son, Clayton Morris Richardson.
A celebration of Michael's life will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm at Mulkey-Bowles Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N Locust St. Denton, TX 76201.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Camp Straight Arrow, 25757 Preston Bend Rd., Pottsboro, TX 75076, as he was a lifelong supporter of his childhood camp.
Michael Ray Richardson's legacy will forever remain in our hearts, and he will be deeply missed until we meet again in heaven.
