In Loving Memory of Michael Marion Nymeyer
Beloved Husband, Father, Son, and Friend
January 4, 1975 – May 20, 2025

Michael Nymeyer, 50, of Denton, Texas, passed away on May 20, 2025. A devoted husband, proud father, cherished son, and gifted musician, Mike brought fun and laughter to his friends and family - especially during the holidays, when his joy for decorating turned his home into a place of magic and warmth.

Mike was born on January 4, 1975 in Lubbock, TX to young teen parents, and was lovingly placed for adoption at birth. He was adopted by Frederic and Adda Sue Nymeyer in Perryton, TX and grew up in Panhandle, TX. He lived in Denton, TX for the past 25 years, where he worked in the food and beverage distribution industry. Mike lived a life rich with music, creativity, and connection. From a young age, he showed an extraordinary talent for music. Whether playing piano to relax in the evenings or playing guitar and singing with friends and family around a campfire, Mike's music was an extension of his generous spirit and deep soul.

Mike found his greatest joy in his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kelly Nymeyer; his treasured children, Maven and Hayes Nymeyer, who were the center of his world; his devoted mother, Adda Sue Nymeyer; his brother-in-law, John Hill; his biological mother Regina Karl; his biological father, Charles Raef, and many friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Frederic Nymeyer.

A passionate holiday decorator, Mike turned each season into a celebration, lighting up not only his home but the hearts of everyone in the neighborhood. Halloween haunts and Christmas lights weren't just decorations—they were gifts, curated with care, whimsy, and love.

Those who knew Mike will remember his contagious laugh, his boundless creativity, and his unwavering love for his family.
