A Mom's Memory

He was in such a hurry to get here; we didn't make it to the hospital. We had to have an ambulance to come get us. Still, we didn't make it to the hospital. We had to stop on the side of the road, (Hwy. 81 in front of the feed store). He was in such a hurry to get here. We had a baby boy!

He was so loved. He grew up so fast. He welcomed two brothers and two sisters into his world. He was the best big brother. He's growing up fast. Michael starts school. Things change (I got a job driving over the road). Michael moves in with his aunt in Burleson TX at seven years old. Michael decided he was missing his mommy; he rode his bike to his Nanny's house. His Nanny lives on 917 in Alvarado. Aunt lives in Burleson and he is only seven. I explain that he has scared me to death. I ask Mike "do you know how to get to your school". "Yes, Mom". He replied. Guess what! He only knew the way the bus goes. So, we drove all over Burleson. His school was on Alsbury.

He's growing up so fast. Mike adjusted to the move and new school. He decided he wanted an ice cream party at school. He told the teacher "my mommy is going to pay for the ice cream party". I've been gone 6 weeks and that's the last thing I want to do. His class made me a big banner thanking me for the ice cream party.

He's growing up so fast. Michael decided he was tired of getting yelled at for not doing his chores. He and his friend decided to run away. Well, one helicopter, two K-9 dogs, about a hundred people searching including the reporters and cameras. Yes, he made the news.

He's growing up so fast. He plays football and makes friends; playing in the woods fishing at Ray Roberts Lake; being a big brother; he loved his brothers and sisters. He's in junior high and we get him his first motorcycle. He stays gone all the time. So much to do.

He's growing up so fast. He's in high school now and get his first car (truck with custom paint) really nice! He goes camping out in the fields as kids do and comes home with dents down the side of the truck. Dad asks him what happened? Oh, a cow kicked it. Dad was not happy with this.
He's growing up so fast. Michael decided he just couldn't do school; he got a GED.

He's growing up so fast. He starts his adulthood. He works in construction for a few years. Then he works at a cabinet shop for a few years. He even tried to follow in his dad's footsteps with iron working. He's just not happy. He goes to work for Tuttle and Tuttle Heating, and he's found his career and continued to work there for several years. He started working at Cotes Mechanical in Sanger and continued to work there for several years.

He's growing up so fast. Michael becomes a father. Madilynn makes her daddy so very happy. Michael has struggled with alcoholism throughout his life. Michael entered into rehabilitation and achieved sobriety. He finds the Lord. We have our Michael back!

Michael started working for his best friend, helping him start his business, R&S Mechanical. Michael's illness took him too early. It was sudden and it was fast. He's at peace.

Michael is survived by his parents, Kevin and Tammie Wiggins of Denton; grandfather, Don Wiggins of Krugerville; brother, Nicholas Wesson of Los Angeles, CA; sister, Taryn Wiggins of Denton; sister and brother-in-law, Amanda and Brandon Reid of Burleson; brother, Christopher Teague of Lawton, OK; many aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews; his daughter, Madilynn of McLoud, OK. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, James and Christine Payne of Alvarado; grandparents, Jimmie and Ken Nix of Cleburne; Eugene and Ruth Meers of Las Vegas, NV, Juanell Wiggins of Krugerville; aunt, Sue Garner of Alvarado; uncle, Terry Meers of Venus.

Michael had the biggest heart. Everyone that met Mike loved him. He will be miss by so many. Till we meet again. WE LOVE YOU. Dad & Mom.
