Elliott
June 25, 1944 – November 5, 2025
Michael E. Elliott passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 5th, 2025 at home surrounded by family after a valiant fight with pancreatic cancer. Michael was 81 years old and an avid sports fan and car lover. While he loved all sports, he was forever loyal to the Detroit Lions, Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan. Michael loved his cars, especially his Mustang and the 1970 Dodge Challenger he once owned.
Preceded in death by his parents Richard and Alice, Stepdad Carl and brother Richard Elliott. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Vicki Elliott (Gustison), son Travis Elliott of Texas, daughters Tiffany Elliott of Wyoming and Tammy Elliott (Carl Martin) of Texas as well as his granddaughters Samantha Heckel and Carolyn Rose Elliott. Michael also leaves behind his siblings Rosemary Elliott (Farolyn Thuma), Susan Koozer Smith (Ken Smith), Pricilla Leonzo and John Elliott as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Michael worked for Rooms to Go in Texas for 25 years and previously Kinney Shoes for 25 years in Pennsylvania, Detroit, MI and New York City. Michael was a very caring man, and loving father, brother and husband who will be missed by many. He loved watching sports, animals and of course driving (especially to Sonic). More than anything though he loved his wife Vicki, his children, his dogs Jack and Gracie, horse Dakota and their donkey Mr. Peanut.
A celebration of life will be held at TWU Little Chapel in-the-Woods on Friday, November 14th from 12-2 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to PanCan, dedicated to Pancreatic Cancer research (pancan.org).
