Melvin Murphy Mann of Denton, Texas passed away on Thursday Feb 21, 2019 at the age of 76. He was born at All Saints Hospital in Ft. Worth, TX on October 25, 1942 to parents Louise Walker Mann and Emmitt Murphy Mann of Everman. He was the youngest of two children. Melvin was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad, and Sister Jean Stanton and her husband Truman, and second wife Frances Mann.
Melvin was a proud graduate of Frisco High School and continued his education to UNT for his Accounting Degree in 1966. He later became a volunteer fireman and then became Fire Chief at the City of Frisco Texas. He was an entrepreneur and pioneered the search for historical clay roof tiles and slates.
Melvin was a very proud Husband, Dad, Granddad, and Great Granddad; He is survived by his wife Linda, his son Adam Mann, stepdaughters Tressa Walding and Mandy Dirickson, and stepson Brian Waddle, 8 grandchildren, Tiria, Tarra, Collin, Colby, Ben, Andrew, Will and Hanna and 7 great grandchildren.
Memorial Service will be held at FUMC Denton in the Cole Chapel at 11:00 am, Thursday, February 28th.
