Melissa Ann Stephenson, 43 of Denton passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her home. She was born November 19, 1972 in Denton to Earlene (Foreman) and Jerry L. Blocker. She was a graduate of Denton High School and Stephen F. Austin State University. She was married to Anthony Ray Stephenson on July 5, 1997 in Denton. She was a member of Denton Bible Church and loved attending her BSF class. She was a beloved teacher at Argyle Elementary. Her greatest joy was being a mother to Beck and a wife to Anthony.
Melissa is survived by her husband, Anthony Stephenson, and son, Beck Blocker Stephenson, of Denton, parents, Earlene and Jerry Blocker of Decatur, and brother, Mitchel Earl Blocker of Decatur, and many close family and friends. Melissa will be remembered and celebrated in our hearts always. A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N Locust, Denton from 6 P.M. until 8 P.M. followed by a funeral service on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 10 A.M. in the Denton Bible Church Chapel, with Rev. Mike Spencer and Rev. Tommy Nelson officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Denton Bible Church. Private burial service will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Park.
