Melissa Kay Alexander

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Melissa's passing. Melissa was surrounded by her family on October 7, 2025, when she took her final breath, saying goodbye to her loved ones on earth and hello to those waiting for her in heaven who had longed to see her again.

Melissa was born on February 16, 1977, to Kay and Glen Mason in Denton, Texas.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Ray Patterson, and her children: Bobby Frank Alexander Jr., Brittany and Aaron Torres, and Codi Elizabeth Alexander. Her beloved grandchildren include Benjamin Lucas Alexander, Charlotte Elizabeth Alexander, Bailey Maribell Torres, and Adalida Mae Torres.

Melissa is also survived by her mother Kay Mason; brother Carlton Kyle Mason; sisters Michelle and Melinda; mother-in-law Janet Brown; sisters-in-law Katrina Hanna and Megan Patterson and Krystal Patterson. As well as brothers-in-law Jeremy Patterson and Terry Patterson. She is also cherished by an abundance of uncles, aunts, and cousins who loved her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Bobby Alexander, her grandparents JC and Mary Leavell, father Glen Mason, and aunt Ann Kerr, along with other loved ones with whom she is now reunited.
Melissa's love was one that could not be put into words. She loved her family deeply and wore a smile no matter the occasion. Full of life and compassion, she touched the hearts of everyone around her, creating memories that will last forever.
