Melba Beaty, 67, of Southlake, died Wednesday August 1, 2007 at home in Southlake. She was born September 3, 1939 in Celina, TX to Dave and Jublee (Perry) Shinpaugh. She attended school in Celina. She owned and operated her own jewelry store and had worked for B.E.I. Defense in Euless.

A graveside service will be at 10:00 AM Friday August 3, 2007 at Shiloh Cemetery in Corinth, with Rev. Jim Bradberry officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday August 2, at the funeral home.

Survivors include her sons, Norman Beaty of Lake Dallas, David Holt of Denison, Dowlas Beaty of Southlake; sister, Aline Caraway of Allen; brothers, Ray Shinpaugh of Celina, Roy Shinpaugh of Cartwright, OK; daughters-in-law, Marilyn Beaty of Lake Dallas, Becky Holt of Denison; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; special friends, Leonard Dorsett of Southlake and Polly Pietz. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debbie Lynn Beaty.
