Mary Jo Theiss, 89, of Pilot Point, Texas, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Countryside Nursing and Rehab.
Mary Jo is survived by her daughter, Jamie Hambsch of Leavenworth, KS, her son, Robert Theiss of Portland, OR, and her daughter, Carol Wooley of Krugerville, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Theiss, two daughters, Kathleen Churchill and Susan Hagolin, one great-grandson, Tyler Churchill, and her sister, Madeline Gailey.
Mary Jo was born on October 1, 1928 in Massilon, Ohio to parents Robert and Chloe Klotz. She graduated from nursing school and became a registered nurse. She married William Theiss on September 3, 1949 in Massilon, Ohio, and they remained married for 47 years until he passed in 1996. They had five children, twelve grandchildren, and several great grandchildren.
Mary Jo was a wonderful and loving mother and wife. She loved to sing, read, cook, and most importantly, care for others. She was deeply involved in her church and shared her faith in God openly with others. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church in Midlothian, TX.
