Mary Bess Warren Seitz, 93, of Denton passed away on Saturday, January 29, 2011. She was born December 6, 1917 in Baylor County, Corn, Texas, to James Oscar and Nannie Eliza "Dot" Thomas Warren. She was married to the love of her life, Elmer Seitz, on December 18, 1941 in Abilene, Texas, and he preceded her in death January 10, 1991. A loving wife and mother, she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Denton, where she taught the Fidelis Matrons Sunday School Class for over 35 years.
Mary Seitz is survived by her four daughters and their husbands, Sally Greer and Will (deceased) of Corinth, Beverly and Jerry Godfrey, of Patton MO, Nancy and Ronnie Gee, of Perryton, Tx., and Rosemary and Ronnie Ray, of Denton; her sisters, Nanza Shepelwich, of Garland and Elwanda Meeker, of Azle; her brothers, Thomas Madison Warren, of Weatherford, and Marion Warren of Euless. Her grandchildren are Sherry Green of Piedmont, SC; Jeremiah Godfrey of Henrietta, OK, Joshua, Michael Godfrey of Patton, MO; Cary Gee and Chantel Gee of Perryton, TX, Azure McDaniel of Statesboro, GA; Brad Ray of Dallas; and Jordan Ray and wife Lindsey of Denton. Her great-grandchildren are Lauren, Emily, Thomas Green; Ryleigh Godfrey; Chloe, Cameron Gee; and Blake Owen Ray.
Her service will be held at 2:30 PM Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home Chapel, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The Reverends Cliff Feeler, Montie Campbell, and Rick Ingle will officiate. Burioal will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz & Son Funeral Home, for visitation on Wednesday, February 2, 2011 from 6 to 8 PM. Memorials may be made to The Denton Good Samaritan Village, 2500 Hinkle Dr., Denton.
