Mary Evelyn Norman, 87, of Denton, died Monday, March 7, 2022 at Denton Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Mrs. Norman was born on December 24, 1934 in Aubrey to Rome Brazier and Ola Mae (Bailey) Griffin. She was married to Lonnie J. Norman on February 23, 1956 in Gainesville; he died on November 13, 2001. She was a member of Gateway United Baptist Church and retired from Moore Business Forms.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Romeana and husband Gary Dear of Aubrey, Yvonne and husband Sammy Briggs of Denton; grandchildren, King, Samantha, Heather, Audra, R.J., B.J., Chase; thirteen great-grandchildren; six great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by sons, James Randall Norman, Lonnie Eugene Norman; parents, two brothers and a sister.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at Mulkey-Bowles-Montgomery Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Gateway United Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave., Denton. Interment will follow at Belew Cemetery, Aubrey.
