Mary Ellen was born in St. Louis, Missouri, and moved to Los Angeles, California, in
1954. After graduating from high school, she worked as a secretary for Allstate Insurance
and IBM, where she met the love of her life, Hutch Milburn. They were married in 1968 in
the Los Angeles area, where their daughters were born. In 1978, they moved to Round Rock,
Texas, and lived there 18 years before settling in the Denton area.

While living in Round Rock, Mary Ellen was actively involved in the Sam Bass Community
Theater. She worked tirelessly as a volunteer director, stage manager, and administrator
on more than 30 plays over a 10-year period. After moving to the Denton area, she worked
for American Greetings as a card merchandiser and supervisor for 12 years.

In her later years, Mary Ellen enjoyed traveling on global cruises as well as various
trips around the United States. She particularly loved being actively involved in her
grandchildren's lives. She will be remembered for her love and dedication to her husband,
brother, parents, children and grandchildren. Family was always her priority.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, December 16, 2011, at
Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton, Texas. Graveside services will be held
at 1 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2011, at Roselawn Memorial Park, 3801 Roselawn Dr.,
Denton, Texas. Pastor Taylor Gardner officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be
made to a charity benefiting cancer research
