Mary Elizabeth Malloy, 86, of Denton, longtime resident of Howell, Michigan, died Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at Lake Forest Good Samaritan Village.
Mrs. Malloy was born on April 5, 1925 in Brooklyn, NY to George Michael and Julia Bridgette (Brown) Carley. She was married to Cornelius Joseph Malloy on June 18, 1949 in Brooklyn, NY. She was a member of The Carol Club, The Living Rosary and Saint Mark Catholic Church. She worked as a bank teller and owned and operated Added Treasures, which was an antique and gift shop.
A memorial mass will be at 1:00 PM Saturday, October 22, 2011 at Saint Mark Catholic Church, 2800 Pennsylvania Dr., Denton. Father George will officiate the service.
Mrs. Malloy is survived by her daughter, Julia (Matt) Erickson of Hickory Creek; sons, Neil (Terri) Malloy of Corinth, Jerry (Soonhwa) Malloy of Saville, NY, John (Debbie) Malloy of Hickory Creek, Tom (Tony) Malloy of Howell, MI; brother, John Carley of Brooklyn, NY; ten grandchildren, Neil Malloy, Mike Malloy, Diana Malloy, Crystal Clark, Carley Malloy, John-John Malloy, Jeffrie Malloy, Justin Malloy, Matthew Erickson, Jonathan Erickson; seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Michael Malloy and a brother, George Carley.
