Mary Alyne Cherry, died Thursday, November 30, 2017 at her home in Aubrey, with her family by her side.
Mrs. Cherry was born on May 6, 1929 in Houston to John Leonard "Pepper" and Ruby Alyne (Pope) Martin. She was married to Allen Bracken Cherry in 1956 in Las Vegas, Nevada. She taught music to children for many years.
Alyne is survived by her daughters, Sally Brown of Aubrey, Ginger Cherry of Caddo Mills, Gina Cherry-Fraley of Dallas, Saundra Booze of Bethany, OK; sons, Shayne Pearce of Spokane, WA, Bracken Cherry of Cottonwood, AZ; sisters, Jenny Lee Weathersby of Quinton, OK, Alice Eckle of Krebs, OK; grandchildren, Troy Tucker, Sarah Brown, Denise Ann Pearce, Cynda Pierce, Allen Bracken, Wesley Stubbs, Bracken Stubbs, Now Joy Cherry, Star Joy Cherry, Iam Joy Cherry; great-grandchildren, Jessi Klinedinst, Stephen Pierce, Nikolas Bracken, Alex Bracken, C.J. Stubbs; great-great grandson, James Tennessee Pierce.
Alyne Cherry loved and cherished her family, the Lord, and of course, music. She was a beauty queen, inside and out. Her love of music and her amazing abilities were enjoyed by all. She leaves a legacy of love, joy, and harmony to carry with us, always.
A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, December 4, 2017 at Cross Timbers Community Church; 312 W. McKinney St., Denton. Chaplain George Martinez will officiate the service. Burial service will be at 3:00 PM at Memorial Park Cemetery, Oklahoma City.
