Mary Jane Carter, 74, of Corinth, passed away on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at the Corinth Rehabilitation Suites.
Mrs. Carter was born on August 12, 1939 in Gordon, TX to Clyde S. and Luretta E. (Cook) Maddux. She was married to Billy Jack Carter on September 26, 1958 in Ranger, TX. She retired as a teacher after many years from Valley Christian School in Utah.
She is survived by her daughters, Rebecca Tucker of Farmers Branch, LaRita Reece of Denton, Benita Hansen of West Valley, Utah; son, Robert Carter of Wright, Wyoming; brother, Wayne Maddux of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty years, Billy Jack Carter; son, William Avery Carter; sister, Betty Davis, brothers, J.D. Maddux, Clyde S. Maddux, Jr., Robert Maddux.
She loved God with all her heart, body and soul. She was a marvelous Sister, Wife, Mother, Teacher and Friend. Mary was a faithful Godly woman who never knew a stranger. She loved everyone unconditionally. Her smile and her laugh were contagious. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, November 25, 2013 at the Church of Corinth, 3201 Tower Ridge Dr, Corinth, TX 76210.
