Mary Jo Belcher, 80 of Denton, passed away on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at Cottonwood Nursing Center. She was born January 29, 2010 in Pilot Point, TX to Wesley ad Zelma (Hyde) Long. She was a graduate of Pilot Point High School, and was a member of the Gateway United Baptist Church. She was retired from the Ohio Rubber Company. She was married to Eugene Belcher on October 15, 1948 in Pilot Point, and he died in 1971.
A funeral service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at the Gateway United Baptist Church, 2401 N. Bell Ave. Denton, TX with Rev. Tom Pubh, officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Park. The family will be at the Mulkey-Mason, Jack Schmitz and Son Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust, Denton on Tuesday, November 2, 2010 from 6 P.M. until 7 P.M. for Visitation.
Mrs. Belcher is survived her daughter Patsy Belcher and companion Gretchen of Denton, Sons Ronald Belcher of Denton, Raymond Belcher and partner, Gail of Denton, sister Joyce Baker and husband Garlin of Aubrey, and three grandchildren, Marlon Belcher, Kimberly and Tabatha, an two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband and one Granddaughter.
