Marvin Andrew Stark, Jr., 88, of Denton, died peacefully at his home surrounded by his fwife of sixty-seven years and family on Sunday, November 1, 2015 in Denton.
Mr. Stark was born on May 20, 1927 in Dallas to Marvin Andrew and Myrtle Mae (Aday) Stark. He was married to Mary Washmon on April 2, 1948 in Dallas. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Denton; Stanfield Masonic Lodge #217, Scottish Rite, 32nd degree Mason. He retired from the United States Government as an Auditor.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at the funeral home. A funeral service will held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 4, 2015 in the chapel of Mulkey-Mason Funeral Home, 705 N. Locust St., Denton, TX. Dr. Jimmy Naugher will officiate the service. Interment will be at 11:30 AM Thursday at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Mr. Stark was survived by his wife, Mary Stark of Denton; daughter, Cheri Leavell and her husband Randy of Denton; sons, Craig Stark of Lewisville, Brian Stark and his wife Kate of Ponder; sister, Jeannene Gaston of Richardson; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Jean Gladness Allison.
