Obituary

Marvin Crabb passed away from this life on July 8, 2015 at the Vintage in Denton, TX. He was born in Regan, Oklahoma on March 30, 1937 to Monroe and Otherine Caraway Crabb. His mother died at his birth. He was raised by his grandparents, Rev. Lewis Crabb, a Presbyterian Minister, and Bell Powell Crabb. He met Billie Jean Houchin in September, 1958. They married March 30, 1959. This being both their birthdays.

He served 4 years active duty in the Air Force and found his passion with airplanes and served 18 years with the National Guard in Grand Prairie, TX at Hensley Field. After he retired he went to work for the City of Grand Prairie as a Traffic Control Superintendent. When he retired from there he purchased a car hauler and went on the road delivering cars for dealers. After driving for a year, he then went to work for the Grand Prairie School District as a Transportation Manager. After retiring from the school district Marvin and Billie moved back to Denton, TX. He then worked for Mulkey Mason Funeral Home and also Franklin Atchin delivering cars. He also worked the football games at the Gopher Warrior Bowl in Grand Prairie during the football season.

Marvin and his family were members of the First Presbyterian Church in Grand Prairie, TX where he served as an Elder. He was a member for 40 years of the Thomas B. Hunter Lodge #1356, where he was a endowed member and life member. He was Master of Lodge from 1980 - 1981.

Marvin and Billie are members of the Highland Baptist Church in Denton, TX.

Marvin was loving and caring, witty, compassionate, respected, unselfish, and always happy. He loved his family and loved to travel. He would do anything to get a laugh from his grandchildren. He was a great mechanic and always ready to help when needed.

He loved God and knew Jesus and is resting happily in heaven.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Jean of Denton, his daughter and son-in-law Debra Jean and David Gonzales, daughter and son-in-law Cathy Lynn and Lillard Jackson, grandchildren Kevin and Ashley Loyd, David M. Gonzales, Lacee and Jesse Jones, Caylee Jackson, great grandchildren Kash Luke Loyd, Kane Lynn Loyd and Krew Lee Loyd, Brendon Gonzales and Kasen Jones.

Visitation will be held at the Mulkey-Mason funeral home, 705 N. Locust, Denton TX on Friday, July 10th from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. The service will be held Saturday, July 11th at 11:00 a.m. at the Highland Baptist Church, 600 Thomas Street, Denton, TX with burial to follow in the Jackson Cemetery in Krum, TX.
